It’s August 25th and (sorry) I only just listened to the cast and then coincidentaly I received an email from Henry’s (Canadian Camera shop) telling me the RX1R III was now available for purchase. $6,, were I to add the 2 year warrantee at $, then add the 15% tax that brings the final payment to $8,... OUCH! I’m being slow to pull the trigger on a Canon R5 (not the mark II) at $4,025 taxes in. Great show once again folks! On the subject of do we really need it, thoughts on the Extended warrantees ... as I mentioned 2 years was $700, 3 years was $800 ... I’ve wondered, do people actually buy them?

Regarding the update on two morons that cut down the Sycamore tree, I was glad they got some amount of punishment but disappointed it was so lenient. They should have been put in the dungeon under the jail for at least 5 years. I live in the US but I was actually in England when this crime occurred so I’ve been following it since then. I recall seeing the mug shots of the two at some point and thinking that it explained a lot. Two neanderthal creatures for sure.

Hi PO gang. I’m somewhat surprised that you haven’t heard of the Seestar. This relatively low-cost (a little over £500) and compact machine has been a revelation to the astrophotography world. Contrary to its name it’s not actually very good at photographing stars (except the sun), but what it does do very well is photograph distant galaxy’s millions of lightyears away by stacking multiple images. It makes deep sky imaging easy for a reasonable cost.
